Melbourne Opera has set itself on a course of presenting The Ring Cycle, starting with Das Rheingold at the Regent Theatre this year.
What does it take to prepare for this production – and in context of the full cycle to come? Join us as we speak to tenor James Egglestone on how he is undertaking the challenge of conquering a role in a Wagnerian epic, especially given the difficulties presented by the pandemic.
Dual Helpmann Award-winning James Egglestone is one of Australia’s finest tenors; he has already built up an impressive list of credits with many national and international performing companies. James will be singing the role of Loge in this Melbourne Opera production directed by Suzanne Chaundy.
James’ role is proudly supported by The Richard Wagner Society (VIC).
WHEN: Sunday 31 January 2021 – 2:00pm to 5pm
