The RWS support for artists in the 2016 Melbourne Ring

The Richard Wagner Society is proud to be supporting artists Liane Keegan (https://www.facebook.com/liane.keegan/) in the role of Erda and Bradley Daley (https://www.facebook.com/bradleyjdaley/) in the role of Siegmund in the Opera Australia production of the 2016 Melbourne Ring.

Negotiations between The RWS and OA have resulted in several benefits for members and we will also be arranging some special events with our artists. Details will be circulated to members when they are confirmed.

Benefits for RWS members

At a recent member event many lucky members were successful in a ballot for the opportunity to purchase tickets to the 2016 Ring with a guarantee that they will obtain the cycle, reserve and section of their choice.  The winners have all been notified and they are currently applying for their Ring tickets.

Other eligible RWS members who are not OA Subscribers are able to apply for tickets from the 20th of October which is the same time as subscribers and ahead of the general public. If you are in this category it would be advisable to apply as soon as the bookings open in order to have the best chance to obtain what you want because tickets may be as sought after as they were in 2013.

Cast change for Sieglinde

Recently Opera Australia announced that American soprano Amber Wagner will be Sieglinde opposite Bradley Daley in Die Walküre.
